All our frames are handcrafted with traditional
mortise and tenon joinery. This joinery and these
techniques have been used for centuries in the
construction of timbered structures throughout
Europe, Asia and America. Some examples of the
joinery we use include birdsmouths and tongue &
fork at the rafters, shouldered tenons at the posts,
dovetails on purlins and joists, scarf joints and
fully housed knee braces. Depending on the size of
your frame minimum principal members are 6"x
6" up to 8"x 10".
